Custom field equal to Cost not rolling up at summary task

I've relabeled "Cost1" to "Estimated Cost" and have set that equal to
the Project field "Cost" via a formula. Currently, I have both
"Estimated Cost" and "Cost" side by side on my Gannt chart. The
column labeled "Cost" shows the costs summed at the summary task
level. The column labeled "Estimated Cost" does not. Since I set
"Estimated Cost" equal to "Cost", why am I not seeing summed costs at
the summary task level?

Hello rdemyan,

You need to specifically set the values for the summary or grouped
costs to sum. Select the Cost1 field, right click and choose
"Customize fields" in the shortcut menu. Under the option for
"Calculation for task and group summary rows" select "Rollup option
and Sum from the list.

costs to sum.  Select the Cost1 field, right click and choose
"Customize fields" in the shortcut menu.  Under the option for
"Calculation for task and group summary rows" select "Rollup option
and Sum from the list.
