Custom Report/Filter

Hello,

I have been trying to generate a report based on the
timesheets that users enter using Project Server. The
reports I've been trying to get are a "hours worked per
day" report. I have set up a filter to help do this but I
have not been able to figure out how to get the tasks
filtered properly.

Essentially I've been using the Actual Work field (greater
than zero compare) and the Actual Start and Actual Finish
fields (for a specified date range). However, these field
values only check the information for the entire task, not
the day(s) within the specified range.

So what I am looking for is a report that shows which
tasks the resource worked on (and how many hours) within a
specified date range. Not all of their tasks and
independant of the start and end dates of the task. And
only showing the time they worked on the task within that
range.

Any hints someone might have would be appreciated.

Thank-you,
Ken Lee

You fail to mention how you're going about this, so it's difficult to guide
you. Have you looked at the following view in PWA? Click Resources and
select View Resource Assignments from the menu on the left. Does this help
you?

Hi Gary,

Thanks for your response.

I am trying to view the data in Project. The View
Resource Assignment in PWA shows me all of their tasks. I
realize you can do some filtering there but it still
doesn't get me where I am trying to get.

What I'm trying to generate is a report that shows the
tasks which were worked on within a given date range
irrespective if when the task is started or finished.
Ideally I would like the any task to not appear in the
report if the task was not worked on during the requested
date range.

Thanks again,
Ken Lee
