I have created custom contact forms and published them in Public folders. I
am running Office 2003 and others are running either 2000 or 2003. We are
running Exchange 2000.
The problem is: when other users attempt to create custom views with filters
for the particular folders, we get several error messages such as "The
operation Failed" & “You do not have sufficient permission to perform this
operation on this object." & "You do not have permission to write to this
folder. Your enterprise form selection will be lost when you change to
another folder".
I can create filtered views on my machine to share (filters work on my
machine), but when others apply the view on their machines the filter does
not work. I have tried everything, including: giving test user "owner/full"
permission on the folder, which did not help; clearing form cache; deleting
and recreating the views. I have been searching for a solution over the
internet for some time now.
At one point I was able to get the filter to work by selecting current
view/filter/advanced/fields/forms (selected enterprise form for this folder)
and adding the form from the personal forms list. The filter only worked for
a minute then shut down Outlook, when I reopened Outlook an error message was
displayed that the view could not be displayed and would not show any of the
items in that view. I deleted the view from another folder. I still cannot
figure out why certain people are unable to use filtered views and why they
are unable to modify current views without errors.
