customized form questions

Hi,

How do you delete a field from a customized form? My second question, does
anyone know how I can create a "new form" button on my customized form? My
final question, how do I make my form available in the menu/view bar?

Thanks in advance for feedback!

Project User,
The custom form feature is very limited but let me address your
questions. First, to delete a field, select it and then hit the "Del"
key. Second, due to the limited functionality only an "OK" and/or
"Cancel" button can be put on a custom form. Third, follow these steps
to put your custom form on a toolbar as a button (a similar process is
used for putting it in a menu).
1. Right click anywhere in the menu or toolbar area
2. Select Customize
3. In the Customize window, scroll down the Categories box and select
and click "All Forms"
4. In the right hand Commands box find your custom form
5. Select and drag it up to where ever you want to put it in a toolbar
(you will see a vertical "I" bar appear at the insertion point in the
toolbar)
6. Release the mouse button, you now have your custom form an a toolbar
7. You can edit the button appearance by selecting your form button and
hitting the "Modify Selection" button on the customize window.

Just for reference, there is another type of form that can be created in
Project. It is called a userform and requires a little VBA programming
to set it up but it will have much more functionality than standard
custom forms. If you want more information on userforms, we can help you
with that.

Hope this helps.

Thanks so much John!

I would love to learn more about userforms. What are your recommendations
to learn more?

Thanks.

ProjectUser,
You're welcome. Learning VBA can greatly expand the functionality of
Project, and any other application for that matter. As it turns out,
fellow MVP, Rod Gill has just written a book dedicated to Project VBA.
It is a most excellent book - I've read it, I've used it. You can find
out more information at: http://www.projectvbabook.com
