Date format in Publisher Mail Merge

I am using the mail merge to complete training certificates. The merge data
is in Excel. How do I change the date format from short (08/04/08) to long
(August 4, 2008)?

Isn't that an Excel function? You will have to change the field in Excel.

I thought so also, so I changed the format in Excel. In mail merges in Word,
I usually had to input a switch to convert the date to format that I wanted.
I haven't found a way to do that in publisher.

Save the data as a CSV (Comma delimited) file.
