.dbx files from Outlook Express 1997? to Outlook 2003

Nick Lambert

I have a new computer with Office 2003 basic installed.
I am trying to import / copy the entire contents of my Outlook Express
e-mail (folders / addresses / saved e-mails...etc.) but not having much luck.

I have tried some of the suggestions on here and they all say I need to back
up a .pst file?
All the files in my Outlook Express appear to be .dbx files.

I have copied all these files onto a disc and saved them on the new
computer, but can't seem to get them to save / work in Outlook 2003. I have
somehow managed to get my e-mail address book to save in Outlook, but can't
seem to get the folders I need in Outlook 2003

I have Windows Vista Home Premium on the new computer and the old computer
was Windows XP home

anyone have any suggestions how I can do this??

thanks Nick

First configure you dbx-files from Outlook Express with Windows Mail. Then
use Export from Windows Mail to transfer your messages to Outlook.
