Dead in the water

I had an error crop up that makes absolutly no sense to me at all. I was
working on my project macros at work, sent the file home, and now, all of the
sudden boom I'm getting this error at home, but not at work.

Error pop up: "Error accessing file network connection may have been lost"

The only thing of interest is the project file I received from a guy in our
UK office. I added a bunch of features to the project via VBA. He received
it and it worked fine on his end, it worked fine at work, when I got home the
above message happened.

I figured this may have had something to do with the file itself. However,
I then made a blank project file and tried to simply record a macro that had
me write 'test' in a cell, and then click the next cell. When I hit stop
recording, I got the exact same error message.

I did a bit of searching, but found solutions for Ms Access, but nothing for
my version. Microsoft Office Project Professional 2003 (11.2.2005.1801.15)
SP2. I tried the detect and repair to no avail.

Hello Finius:
Seems like you are all over the board with this error, i.e., the guy in the
UK, at work, then at home. I suspect, thru the process of elimination, that
the problem may be with your home computer file system.

Question: Wouldn't the file "path" structure be different on your unit from
that at work? How are you accessing the file? Via the network from work? or
an external HDD, a memory stick or portable DVD/CD via a USB port on your
home computer?

Like MS Notes, I keep data on a 1 GB memory stick. If I have it plugged in
the front USB port of my machine, MS Notes doesn't see the file and I get the
same error message. If I plug the USB Memory Stick on a USB Hub or in the
back of the computer, the file and the memory stick, hence my MS Notes files,
get recognized upon booting up the unit.

Could this be something to look for?
