I have an exchange account as well as several imap accounts in my entourage.
I see that entourage created a local address book - which I don't want to
use... I also saw that it duplicated all my contacts to it --- so I used the
command drag to move them all to the exchange contacts ... They were all
gone from the local address... Then I dup checked (fun wow) the contacts
listing... But when I select add to address book in a message (on the
email address) it adds to the local address book... I figured out how to
make an email account default... But where do I make the exchange contacts
the default address book... And same question for calendars
(I don't want to use any local calendaring or address books etc)

Thanks

The default Calendar and Address Book/Contacts list will be determined
by the default mail account. If your Exchange account is set as your
default in Tools --> Accounts... then new contacts and calendar events
will be directed to your Exchange Calendar and Contacts list.

You cannot specify default calendars and address books independently.

Hope this helps!

The address book that's marked as 'default' is not from my imap default
account - since that doesn't have address book or calendar capabilities ---
so not sure entirely that this is correct. Its a Local Address book that
has been marked default. Same goes for my calendar. I know this is true as
their both under the folder heading "On My Computer"... Meaning their
local...

My default account is an imap account which is not local.

My default account is an imap account which is not local.

Since IMAP does not have a calendar, it's defaults to the calendar "On My
Computer"
