Default values in form fields

Hi

I hope someone can help me out here.
I'm trying to figure out how to make a form field's
default value the current date.
I've tried the following string to no avail: value="<%=Date
()%>">
Any ideas?

Try this...
right click on form field
click form field properties
in initial value box type <%=(Date)%>
