Delegating Tasks (2003) versus Reassigning Task (2007)

Is the notion of "delegating" tasks (2003) dead in 2007?

In 2007, we have the ability of Reassigning Tasks from My Tasks.

In 2003, when delegating a task, it was possible to choose if you want to
"lead" or "track" the assignment(s) after you delegated it. Is this possible
in 2007?

I'm guessing that with the introduction of 'Status Manager' in 2007, and
'Team Assignements' that the 2003 functionality of delegating is satisfied
with these new features. Is this some what correct?

The Reassign Tasks feature in Project Server 2007 is the same as the
Delegate Tasks feature in Project Server 2003, without the option to "serve
as the lead" for the delegated task. The Team Assignments feature and the
Status Manager feature in Project Server 2007 do not replace the "serve as
the lead" feature that was found when delegating tasks in Project Server
2003. That feature is simply gone, with no replacement. Hope this helps.

Delegate task feature was renamed in Project Server 2007 to "Reassign Workâ€.
In Project 2003, a resource could delegate a task to another resource, and
carry on to view task progress EVEN after delegation. In Project Server 2007,
resource can reassign a task to another resource BUT can no longer view the
task after reassignment. This is the difference between task delegation and
reassignment. Feature is still there but with limited functionality.
