Delete page 1 of a 10 page document

I'm trying to delete the 1st page of a 10 page document. The document is full of headers and footers, formatting that mess up when I employ "page delete" stategies seen on this board.
Deleting a page in the middle of a document, no problem.
Deleting the first page, problem.
Anybody?
