I was recently having problems syncronizing notes with my Windows mobile
smartphone (using smartphonenotes) and it was recommended that I try creating
a new datafile and importing my data into the new file. After creating the
new file I set the new file to be the default location for new mail and went
to file->data file management and removed the old data file.
This seemed to solve the syncing problem and all my data is in the new data
file. The problem is that the old data file appears in the folder list on the
left of the window. The file no longer appears in the data file management
list. I have tried deleting the pst file from the disk (still in the recycle
bin so I can restore it if neccessary) but it still appears in the folder
list, only now when I click on it I get the error:
Unable to display the folder. Microsoft Outlook could not access the
specified folder location. The file C:\Documents and Settings\Scott\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst
could not be found.
Is there any way in which I can get rid of this entry in the folder list???
I am using Windows XP with Outlook XP (2002) with SP3 installed and
Activesync 3.8.0.
