Deleting junk email

When I delete items from my junk folder, I get a "are you sure you want to delete..." pop-up window, instead of the message just going into the Deleted Items folder. It requires constant clicks going through the junk messages, and is very annoying. Is there a way I can reset so that the deleted junk messages just go into the deleted items folder, as they used to?

The following instructions are from E 2004, but I believe they will work in
E 2008 as well:
Under Entourage>Preferences, select Notification and uncheck "Require
confirmation when deleting.

thanks, that worked perfectly to get rid of the confirmation pop-up. Curious -- in 2004 the deleted junk went into the deleted items folder (giving a chance to retrieve something that was deleted by mistake). Now they just disappear = is that the standard new functionality?

again, thanks for getting rid of this irritation!

Yes, this is a change in Entourage 2008. If you want the old action back,
use the script to "soft delete".

Personally, I use the Nuke Messages script when I want messages nuked
regardless of the folder they are in.
