Hello Team,
Is it advisable to delete a resource completely at Resource
Centre for MSP-2007 and what will the after-effects of the deletion?
Is the resource deactivation option safe or the complete resource deletion?
Can you let me know the steps to entirely delete a resource at the resource
centre.

Regards,
WDP

If the resource you want to delete has actual work, then deleting the
resource will delete information related to that resource. That's not
a good thing. I have never seen a reason, except clean up of the
database for test and training accounts and few other instances, to
not just use the "Active/Inactive" flag. If the resource is Inactive,
they can't log into Project Server. Period.

However, if you want to delete a resource, log into PWA with admin
permissions:

1. Server Settings
2. Database Administration
3. Delete Enterprise Objects
4. Scroll to the resource(s) that you want to delete and check the box
next to their name
5. Hit the Delete key, then confirm deletion.

Once you do that, they are gone.

I assume that the PM's who used this resource know that he or she is
gone and have replaced the resource with another resource who can do
the work?

Hope this helps,
