Delivery to an incorrect account...

B

Brad Pears

We are running Outlook 2002 client and have an Exchange 2000 server.

For some odd reason, anytime I send an email to one particular mail account,
the email is redirected to a different email account - which is an account
that this user happens to have access to and has been set up with delegation
rights.

When I create a new email, I am picking this users mail account from the
global address list - which contains all our exchange email accounts.

When I send the email, the user notifies me that it is coming into the inbox
for the mail account they are monitoring mail for. I have checked the mail
delivery option on his Outlook client and it is set for the proper mail
account. He also does not have any rules running. He says that this only
happens when he receives email from me.

I have checked my Outlook client and I also do not have any rules running. I
have also checked the Exchange server and cannot find anything there.

I even manually entered his internal email address rather than selecting it
from the global address list to no avail.

What should I be checking to determine why my emails to this user are being
directed to a completely different email account?

Thanks,

Brad

What happens if you enter the users full internet address? Or if you
send the mail from an external client?

When I use the users full internet address internally, the email gets
redirected. However, when I email the user from my external hotmail account,
it does go to the proper account!!!

Got any ideas?

Brad
