Design Template - removing one

P

Pirates Hockey

When I make a proposal, I generally have to make them in two formats - one on
a design template (that has our logo and images down the left side and
contact info on the bottom) that we use when we email a proposal. I generally
then have to take the same document, remove the design template so that the
text can be printed out on colored paper that already has the same design
template pre-printed. Here's the question: When I create the document on the
pages with the images embedded in the design template and then I change the
design template to blank - I want the text to keep the same formatting so
that I don't have to go back in and re-size and re-bold, re-ital -
re-center.... all the text. Unfortunately, when I take the design template
away and switch to a blank template, it reformats everything. Which
essentially means I have to go back in and re-format every page of every
document.

I am not sure if that makes sense, but I am really asking is it is possible
to create a template that has the same formatting as the "Pirates Template"
but simply doesn't have the color images. In other words, create a template
that has the same font sizes, locations as the "pirates template" but is
otherwise blank. And if so, how do I do it?

Thanks!

Could you not save the existing template under a new name (say pirates 2),

edit the pirates2 template for printing,

then apply the pirates2 template to your existing presentation, then save it
under a new name?

Depending on how the images were inserted on your slides you might be able
to get away with simply doing a "File", "Print", and on the
"Color/Grayscale" dropdown select "Pure black and white". Try it and see if
it works for you.
