Deskto pand Taskbar size

I ran an automatic update on my laptop last night and when I logged in today,
the desktop and taskbar are too big for my screen.

I have been everywhere trying to get it back to where it was, but am unable
to make it all fit in my screen. Any suggestions???

This is not an Office issue but since you already posted try the following

Change your screen resolution to next higher level or until satisfied . Control
Panel\Display\Settings
