Everything is in the .pst file. Open each one you have in Outlook
(file->open->outlook data file) and examine its contents.

After furious head scratching, Bruce asked:
| No I hadn't. It was in Powerpoint, but on detect and repair, did the
| whole office set.
| What I had to do is, I found the .pst file, and before I did anything
| saved it in my documents.
| When I when through the initial start up of Outlook
| it imported the acct information, but then said "deleted something, I
| should of written it down.
| It was still there, but had problem importing it,
| had 2 separate .pst files, new one was called outlook1 I think.
| I then imported the email from the one I saved, but lost the contact
| list.
|
| Would the contact list be under a different file name than .pst?
|
|
| | So, you have no current problems with Outlook?
|
|
| || 2003, didn't have a problem with outlook, but when we started it, it
|| have us
|| the initial
|| setup for accts.
|| We hit the detect and repair was all and acct seem to have gone to
|| the beginning?
|| || Detect and repair does nothing to your data. What it repairs is the
|| application files and settings. If you're having problems with
|| Outlook and want assistance, post complete details, starting with
|| your Outlook version and any error messages or other symptoms.
|
||
|| ||| We had a problem with Powerpoint yesterday, in searching help it
||| said use the detect and repair, unbeknownst it reinstalled office.
||| Did it delete everything in Outlook, and if not is there a way to
||| retrieve
||| that acct, or email?
