Different Workspace Sizes

I have a question regarding workspace sizes. I have one workspace across
multiple machines with different users and I see that each user has a
different file size indicated for the work space. The workspace that is in
question is 105mb on my account on my machine and then on a different user's
machine it's only 44mb. Any idea why this is the case? I am doing a lot of
forms development on my mahcine, and both are completely synched up. Any
information is greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Kyle

Hi K young -

Groove doesn't always delete all the temporary files from a copy of a space.

Try creating an archive of your 150mb space and restoring it. You'll see the
on-disk size of the archive is a lot less than 150 (probably less than 44mb
too). The restored copy of the space will be less than 150mb and will its
size will reflect the actual size of the saved content.

Yup
if you do a lot of forms dev then there is stuff that groove does not sync
with others - this is the only case when workspaces on 2 machines should show
diff sizes.

what Mark is saying is also correct - all spaces have bloat, depending on
edits and deletes etc that groove only throws away when you make a duplicate
of the space. if this bloat is 10 times the actual size and it is an active
space it is good to make a dup and reinvite all
