Jessica,

Are you using the catalog merge? What are you trying to do with the header and
footer?

When you are finished with the merge, in step five create a new publication with
the merge. If your merge was setup as a catalog, you now can view the header and
footer.

Yes I am usin the catalog merge. In the address directory on several pages
there needs to be a different header, once the merge is finished, I attempted
to enter what I want the header to be and it takes that one header and places
it on all the pages.

Also here is how my data is setup. I have a lot of addresses that are setup
by divisions therefore, I would need to have each of the addresses identified
in the header only by its division

Thanks,

Jessica

You can only do this by changing the merge to a new publication. The catalog
merge is nothing more than individual text boxes, you can move a text box down
and insert a new text box for your division. If the division is to be in the
same place on each page then use the Master Page. You can create as many Master
Pages as you need. Help here
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/publisher/results.aspx?qu=master&sc=9&av=ZPB110

Publisher doesn't support headers in the classical way as Word supports them. In
Publisher they are usually used for page numbers or other information you may
want to put on the Master Page.

You probably can achieve what you are trying to do with a bit of tweaking.
