Directory service (ldap)/ account not showing

In Outlook 2001 Mac, I don't see the config page to add a Directory Service.
On OL2K / PC it is there. Has anyone solved this?

We have part of the company on Exchange, and part on another mailserver. The
LDAP server we want to search has the users who are not on Exchange/Active
Directory. All users exist in Active Directory, some are not mailbox-enabled
in Exchange.

Another solution possiblity is for Active Directory to respond to Outlook
clients with the 'email address' field from the Active Directory objects
which are not mailboxed. That doesn't work now either.

Thanks, Tony

no, you cannot add a directory service account in outlook 2001 for Mac, it
has a more limited feature-set as compared to full outlook client on pc (any
version). outlook 2001 is a free client for Mac and its main purpose it to
provide access to a mailbox on exchange server and GAL/AD contents, like
Outlook on PC does. you cannot add any accounts of any other type (i.e.
pop/smtp/imap/ldap, etc.)

So what is the way to list additional (non domain accounts) email addresses
in AD, so that the Exchange users can auto-fill with that info from Outlook
Mac new messages?
