disappearing images from site

Help, I have used FrontPage and a secured independent host
server for 2 years without any major problems.
Some of my image files keep disappearing from my purchase
items page.

I upload the files and everything looks good, but in a day
or so they have vanished completely. My server cannot do
this as well as my internal software.

Is FrontPage capable of these erasures? How can I find out
if FrontPage is the problem? How can I fix it?

FP won't delete files or change anything after you publish
Clear your browser cache and make sure all the files have been published
- provide url to a page w/ a "missing file"
