Display Resource Information in Gannt Chart

My boss wants a Gantt Chart view printed. However, he wants also be able to
see the custom information I have added for each resource in the Gantt Chart.
I have the Gantt Chart grouped by resource. I would love to be able to
display the rest of the information from the custom columns on the "grouping"
line between the tasks, but I have no idea how to do that.

If that is not possible, is there some other way that I can get the columns
from my resource pay to display in the Gantt Chart? I don't want to have to
enter the same information twice when I update it. I want to be able to
change the resource information when needed, add it to a task, and have the
information populate. Thanks so much for any help!!!!!!!!.

Hi Daisybuckvalley,

There are only a very few fields in MS Project that will show both on
the resource side (Resource Sheet view for example) and the Task side -
Gantt chart view.

Depending upon how much "custom" information you need to show, there may
be some options. Below is a quick list of resource fields you can add
data to and the field to show in the task (Gantt) view to see the added
information:

Resource field - [Name] shows as Task Field - [Resource Names]
Resource field - [Initials] shows as Task Field - [Resource Initials]
Resource field - [Group] shows as Task Field - [Resource Group]
Resource field - [Phonetics] shows as Task Field - [Resource Phonetics]

Obviously the Name field you most likely don't want to play around with,
but can you use Group, Initials, and Phonetics?

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
