display week number in date picker

Hello NG.

I have a question if it os possible to display the calendar week number in
the date picker in MS Project. So that when you choose a date in "start" for
example and use the date picker (drop down) that this number is displayed
additionally.

I do not mean to display it for the value in the field "start" itself.

When I use the drop down, I only have the first letter of the day as a title
and the days below. But I have seen it, that it is possible to show the week
on the right also.

Does anybody have a solution for this?

Thank you for every answer.

Sylvia,
As far as I know there is no user configurable setting for the "date
picker" drop down as you call it. If you saw something with the week
number you must have been looking at the selection box for the Timescale
label - that's the only place where the week number can be displayed.

However, something else you said gives me a reason to comment. You
should never, (except in one case), set the date in either the Start or
Finish fields. That's Project's job and it sets those dates based on
task duration and links. The one exception is if a task is truly
independent of all others as to when it starts, then a Start date can be
entered directly.

Hope this helps.
