Displaying Status Date in a PWA View

Jeff Rice

I would like to add the Status Date (from Project Information in MS Project
2003) to a view in PWA. I can't find the Status Date field as an available
field when editing views. Has anyone done this? Does anyone know the field
name or how I can add this to an exisiting view? Thanks.

Hi Jeff,
We were able to do this. It took quite a bit of playing around to finally
get it to work. From MS Project Pro:
1. Open the Enterprise Global
2. From Tools, select Customize, Enterprise Field
3. Select the Project radio button, Select Date as the type.
4. Select Enterprise Project Date1
5. Select the Formula button
6. Add: [Status Date] in the field, hit the OK button

Now you need to go into Project Web Access.
1. From Admin, select Manage Views.
2. Select the view that you wish to add the status date to, hit Modify View
3. In the fields section, scroll down until you see Enterprise Project
Date1. Select this item.
4. Hit the Add button to move it to the Displayed fields section
5. Hit the Save Changes button.

Good luck!
Debbie

Debbie,

I tried this solution and I wasn't successful. The field values in the view
for Status Date are N/A for all projects, even those that I know have Status
Dates showing in MS Project. Any suggestions? Thanks, Jeff

We did have the same problem. We found that we needed to republish
(Collaborate, Publish, All information) each schedule in order to actually
get the date to populate in PWA. And, even with that it seemed that it didn't
show up immediately after the republish, but after sporadic time delays, the
dates did start showing up.

If you did get the field to show in the view, even with the N/A, at least
you are 1 step closer to success!

After republishing all information, the status date is showing up correctly
in the view. Thanks for your help.
