To save a "read only" you just have to save it as a different name. Not sure
how to save as read only status though

Are your files on a hard-drive or burned to a CD or DVD?

If the former, then right-click on the filename in Windows Explorer (I'm
assuming you're working on a PC), left-click Properties, uncheck the
Read-Only status, and apply that.

If the latter, then copy of the file(s) to your hard-drive and do the above,
if necessary.

I can't imagine why your computer would save files to the hard-drive as
read-only. That status is generally only applied when files are burned to CD
or DVD.
