Document changed from multiple font to a single font

I was working in a Merged Letter which had multple fonts and and other
formatting (text boxes, bold, underlining, etc etc). We merged the
letter to the database of addresses and then exited from Word. When
we came back into Word all the fonts were being displayed as courier
(or something simliar to courier) with no formatting showing.
However, if we clicked into the document we still have the correct
fonts and formatting. Also, when we print the correct fonts and
formatting are there.

We checked under options and views and did not see anything that seems
to affect this and changing the view from print to normal does not
make any difference. However, if you change to Web you see the fonts
and formatting.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what happened, and how to correct
it?

On the View tab of Tools | Options, clear the check box for "Draft font."

I tried what you suggested Suzanne, but the draft toggle was not on.
We did try to turn it on and it did not make a difference on any of
the formatting or fonts. Also, we tried it on another machine and it
does happen there as well for the same user. However, if we log into
the computer as a different user we do not see the problemn that the
first user is having.
