How can I print a document on dark, in this case burgundy, paper, and use a
white font? If I put the paper in and highlight the text and then select a
white font, the paper comes out blank.

Think about this: Your printer doesn't contain any white or light-colored
ink. How do you expect to print white, regardless of what you see on the
screen?

If you "reverse out" text on a colored background
(http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/PrintWhiteOnBlack.htm), the "white
print" is just the paper showing through where there is no ink. However,
with almost all printers, you can't print all the way to the edge of the
paper, so there will be a white border on each sheet.
