Document imaging only scanning one page

I have identical scanners (HP7130) at my office and at home. At the office
I use Office XP, at home I use Office 2003.

When I scan a multi page document in MDI at the office it handles multi
pages properly. However, when scanning a multi page document at home it
only reconises the first page.

Can anyone help me to get my home set up to scan multiple pages?

Thanks.

In Office Document Imaging 2003 File, Scan and in Office Document Scanning
there is the same check box to prompt for additional pages. Is yours
checked?

Hi Don, thanks for your prompt reply.

I am using an ADF - even if the 'prompt for additional pages' is checked
nothing changes.

Additionally, although I may scan two pages, it always reports that I have
scanned three - only the first has any content, the others are blank.

Don, after a bit of experimenting I have now moved a little further forward
in solving this problem but am again stuck - can anyone assist?

I checked the 'Prompt for Additional Pages' check box and also the 'Show
scanner driver dialogue before proceeding' check box. The paper size shown
is legal and I changed this to A4. The first page of the scan then goes
through OK and I am then prompted for the next page. On accepting it the
Scanner Driver Dialogue comes up again and I see that it has defaulted to
Legal again. I then alter the size back to A4 and the second page scans OK.

The problem therefore seems to be with the default paper size in the scanner
driver software but I can't find where to reset it - I've tried both Control
Panel/Printers/Properties and the Printer driver icon on the desktop.... It
now looks as if I might have to address my problem to Hewlett Packard.

Thanks for your help in pointing me in the right direction.

Regards,

Martin

Hi Martin,

If it's any consellation, I have the same problem with a HP Printer... Model
7140. Most frustrating!

When on the HP site, do a general search for it, rather than by model number
or Microsoft XP or 2003... I found a possible patch for it when looking for
something else. However, I didn't get a chance to install it and test it...
as my laptop was stolen (with the favourite marked..)

If you find the link, it would be great if you could paste the patch on
here, I have seen about 5 other people ask similar questions...

Hope this helps!
