Document keeps growing!! HELP!

I'm using officeXP word. One of my documents accidentally
grows from 1M to 7M!! I cleared the clipboard, but it
doesn't help. How can I fix this problem?

Hi fuel,

Make sure:
1) 'allow fas saves' is unchecked, under Tools|Options|Save
2) 'track changes while editing' is unchecked, under Tools|Track
Changes|Highlight changes.

If change tracking was switched on, then update the document by accepting
all changes (see Tools|Track Changes|Accept or Reject changes)
