Document keeps saving as DOT

Hi All ..

I have some documents that when I try and save them (doing
Save As) it always saves as DOT (Document Templates).

I cannot change the type as it is greyed out.

I have permissions in the directory and if I create a new
file I can save them as DOC


Any help appreciated

Although named DOC they are probably templates that have been renamed and so
with some versions of Word you will not be able to save a template as a
document. Create a new document from them and save those instead.

There is a Word virus that does this.
