Document properties

[document custom properties]

I want to set up a document template the has custom property fields that I
can use for every new document that I create. How do I do this? I created a
template and put in the custom field. I then included it in my load with
normal.dot but I do not have access to the custom field that I created.

I don't believe that document properties are among the things an add-in can
contribute globally. See
