Does Microsoft Office Document Imaging Format work with Office XP.

I am trying to figure out if I can use Microsoft Office Document Imaging
Format with Office XP. I understand that it is a driver, that it is part of
Microsoft Imaging (which I think I have installed properly). Yet I don't see
it as printer to add, a print option or a save option in Word. Does it
simply not apply to Office XP and only to 2003?

Hi Michael,

Both MS Office XP and MS Office System 2003 include the
MS Office Document Imaging Tool. The 2003 version alone
supports the .MDI file format and it is also the only
one that includes a Document Writer Printer. The printer
requires Office 2003 to function.
