does office 2003 change windows xp home edition

microsofthello everyone,
This is my first post here today. I would like to know what would office
2003 do to windows xp home edition does it change it or just leave it alone.
And the reason i'am asking is because i'am in need of a word processor does
microsoft office 2003 have microsoft word 2003 in it. Will it use the version
of outlook express that i have now. I really would like need to know before i
buy it. Thank you

No connection between the 2, except that Office 2003 requires Windows XP or
2000 to run. Office does nothing to Windows. All versions of Office have
Word, but you cannot use Word in Outlook Express--which is part of Windows,
not Office. You need to use Office's Outlook, which comes with Office, to use

I sorta understand um so that means i would not be able to word 2003 in a
seperate area. I've even tried to download just microsoft word 2003 which is
all i really need. But when i tried it kicked me back to a differrent page
and would not let me get the file for microsoft word 2003 i'am thinking about
purchasing it but i cannot seem to find the right link. Greg

You can purchase it online from sources like Amazon.com,
but you can't download it.

send it if OE is your default email program.
