Downloaded Templates

I downloaded a template from the Microsoft Office Online site and I try to
follow the directions they give. However, when I save it to my computer, I
can't extract it to Applications and Settings folder because it's not listed
there. I tried to refer to the Microsoft Windows Help to unhide it but it
shows nothing on that. Is there something I'm missing?

Can you provide the web address where you saw the instructions or can you type
them here exactly as you saw them? Without seeing what they say to do it's
hard to tell you what might be wrong.

Which PowerPoint version do you use? AFAIK standard locations for templates
sometimes change with versions.

What you could try in any case: Save the template somewhere on your
computer. Open PowerPoint. Open the template using File - Open. Save the
template using File - Save as - PowerPoint Template (.POT). The program
should chose the standard folder automatically.

Kind regards,
Ute
