Drop Down lists in Frontpage2000

I have set up a drop down list in Frontpage2000. How do I
allow the user to type in the first few characters to pull
up that information on the list to select from? This
particular list has over 300 items to choose from. The
first letter switches fine, but I am having problems
getting it to allow the first two letters to be inputted.

How can I make this work to help the end-user with their
selections?

You'll need to use JavaScript to do that. Go to
http://javascript.internet.com and they have a free script for "type ahead"
for select boxes.
