DROP DOWNS IN WORD DOCUMENT

D

DB

I've been asked to create a code violation letter with various drop down
items dependant on which violation is selected. For example, if you chose
Front Yard Fence too Tall, then the next drop down list would have the codes
that would pertain to that violation, and the final drop down would have a
list of possible resolutions. But if you chose the second item on the first
drop down list of violations, Unpermitted Tree Removal, the next drop down
would have a list of violations that pertained just to that violation and
finally the last drop down would have a list of possible resolutions that
pertained to the tree removal (but not to the first violation which was
regarding fences). I'm not sure if Word could handle all of these selection
choices or if a macro would know that if they picked item 1, only show item 1
codes and resolutions in the next drop downs... Hope I haven't thoroughly
confused everyone. If anyone knows if Word can do this or if this is
something beyond this program, please let me know. I thought of creating a
new document for each violation, but there's 23 choices... Thanks.

There is a section in the second article on dealing with Cascading Listboxes
which is what you would be needing for your application.
