DTP problems with PUB2002

I have had an ongoing problem with Publisher 2000 and 2002
files. I work in a print shop where we utilize a DTP
(direct-to-plate) system. My problem is this. I will
take a customers file, send it to my laser printer,
everythings fine, make a PDF out of it, everythings fine,
but about 3 out of 5 times, when I send it to the DTP,
some weird font problem occured. When I try and go back
through and figure out what the problem was, Publisher
decides to act nice and not have any problems. Does
anyone have and suggestions as to what I can do to avoid
these issues in the future? Thank you in advance.

Ginger how are you creating the PDF.

What Postscript printer driver and whose PPD are you using?

Whose PDF creator program are you using?

Ginger I don't know the AB Dick PPD, but suggest you may try the Adobe
Generic one, because the problem you describe is not a known issue with
Publisher files and PDF.
I would also check to see if there is a later version of the AB Dick PPD on
their website.
I did not think AB Dick was still in business.
