Duplicate Download

I get duplicate downloads often. I have "delete from
server when" deleted box is emptied, and I manually
delete the messages in the deleted box. At times I've
tried simply closing outlook to empty the deleted
messages, but I still get duplicates. I run Outlook
2002. Thanks.
