Duplicate Messages in Outllook 2002

Some e-mail messages are continuously received when we do
a send and receive everytime. So, everytime we hit send
and receive the same message appears in our inbox that was
already there. Is there a fix for this problem?

This is a POP 3 account. Office XP has SP2 same thing
happens without SP2.

When accessing our POP 3 account through Outlook Express 6
we don't have this problem.
