Duration not calculating correctly

Hi all,

I have a quick question (hopefully). Currently using project 2000, use
Fixed Work, effort driven settings and have the following problem:

I have 1 task which I set the fixed work at 10days. on the 1st cut I assign
2 resources at 100% which brings the duration down to 5 days, which is
correct. However after refining I change one of the assigned resource
allocation from 100% to 50% expecting the duration to change from 5d to 7.5d,
however I end up with 10d?

Having tried different variations I get increasingly strange results. The
same situation occurs with the fix units, effort driven settings????

I would be grateful of any help or advice.

Hi,

With more than one resource DO NOT LOOK AT THE GANTT CHART, it does not give
you clear info
Instead watch Task usage View and you will understand.
Modiying anything on one assignment does not change the other assignments
(don't ask for the setting, it DOES NOT, never)

Sopo here you are
*Each resoruce still works 5 days
The second one works half time so he needs 10 days duration
So the task lasts for 10 days!
