E Cards?

Do not use publisher much but I thought it odd that there are ways to print
cards but not create electronic cards for emailing. Has this feature been
given over to third party providers or can one modify what does exist?

It depends on what you have in mind. You can create an email with Publisher
(although you need to make sure the recipent can view HTML emails) but if
you mean something like what I've seen with Hallmark and Blue Mountain Arts,
that's a completely different critter. Publisher is primarily meant for
printed documentation.

Maybe you are remembering the early
versions (1999, 2000, 2001) of Microsoft
Home Publishing and Microsoft Picture It!

They had options to create animated
e-mail greeting cards.

I use Publisher a lot at work for promoting the social club activities.
When I have created my poster/notice I save ie as a JPG, resize it with
photo editing software, then insert it in an email.

I also do this to send email greetings to friends.
