E-mail accounts

In the old outlook under e-mail accounts there was a box I could tab or untab whenever I wanted to empthy mail from this account also. I my new outlook I can not find this function under e-mail accounts, can anybody help me with information about how I select now which accounts I want to emphty and which should just be left standing on my list unactive.

What do you mean by "empty"? What are your old and new versions of Outlook?
