'Edit with Microsoft Office Word'

My ultrasound tech sent over an ultrasound, which my doctor needs to go in
and edit with 'Edit with Microsoft Office Word', but when she clicks on that
function, she does not get all of her measurements back with the document.
What is going wrong? She has been able to do this before.

In what program does the "Edit with Microsoft Office Word" appear? Exactly
what did the ultrasound tech send over?

I don't know the program, but the it was a report of an ultrasound, no
pictures, graphs, just words, measuremensts.

How would you know if all of the measurements were in the report as
received?

There is a possibility however that they are formatted as hidden text.
Press Ctrl+A then select Font from the Format menu and make sure that the
Hidden Text check box is completely clear.

I know all the measurements are there when the document comes from the
program that sent it. However, when I go up to File and click on "Edit with
Microsoft Word" the document comes back without the measurement numbers and
with a line of upside down green/yellow candy cane boxes appear. I will try
what you had suggested first and get back to you.

I pressed Ctrl+A and selected Font and made sure the Hidden Text box was
unchecked and that did not help. Any other suggestions would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks

I just realized at the top of the page that appears after I click on Edit
with Microsoft Office Word', it states: This Browser in not running scripts,
without running scripts measurements may not be readable". How do I make it
run scripts? PLease help.

Exactly what do you mean by "when I go up to File and click on "Edit with
Microsoft Word""?

In what program are you doing that?

I am sorry, I am new to this stuff and am obviously not computer savy. Am I
not repsonding to the Newsgroups?

File, on the top toolbar, along with Edit, View, Favorites, Tools....When I
go to File and click on it, it drops down and then I hilite and click on
'Edit with Microsoft Word'. When my document comes back, it is without the
measurements. But could that have something to do with the browser not
running scripts? and if so, how do I get it to run scripts?

You should save the ultrasound file to the hard drive, then start Word and
use the File>Open menu item in Word to open the ultrasound file.

If the measurements are then not in the file, they were not in it when it
was sent.

The ultrasound file is saved into the hard drive, my doc opens it from there
with all information in front of her. She needs to be able to go into the
file and edit it, so she goes to File on the top toolbar, clicks on 'Edit
with Microsoft Office Word', the file disappears for a second or two, and
comes back without the measurements listed as before she clicked on File. At
the top of this new page is a statement: This browser is not running scripts
on this page. What does that mean and how can I change it?

Instead of trying to open the ultrasound file from Windows Explorer, start
Word and use File>Open in Word to open it.
