Editing email addresses

Hi,

We have a public folder that stores all our company's contacts.
Currently I have the view set to a custom view (by going view > arrange
by > current view > by company and have then removed some of the fields
shown by default and added the email field as one of the fields that i
require).

Problem is that i can edit all of the default information (ie phone
number, company name etc) but when it comes to either typing in an email
address or editing one it won't allow me to do that.

Do I need to activate this ability somewhere or somehow?? Any ideas??

Cheers in advance

No. The email field is not a simple text field. It's actually three
different fields combined into one display. You will need to open the
contact item to edit it.

Thanks Sue.

Guess it's the only way of doing it without setting up a seperate new
field to handle it (and that won't suit).
