How can I edit button images on my toolbars. That ability seems to have disappeared. Also, is there a way to undock the Standard toolbar so that I can edit those buttons?

Thank you!

You can't undock the Standard Toolbar, sorry. But you can option-drag
buttons that are on it to a different toolbar that you have complete
control over and use that instead (activate View | Customize Toolbars
before option-dragging buttons to copy them to a new toolbar).

The ability to edit button images vanished in Word 2004, possibly Word
X, I believe. Did your computer come with Graphic Converter? (or any
photo program should work). Haven't tried this recently, but you should
be able to create a 20pixel by 20pixel image in GC and then copy it and
use the Paste Button Image option in the Icon Properties to get it into
Word 2008.
