Effects on Outlook from Upgrading from Office 2000 to Office 2003

Probably a simple question, but what prep work do i need to do in Outlook in
order to install MS Office Professional 2003 over the Office 2000 i am
surrently using?

You could backup your .pst file. Here is a utility you can use:

You should also be aware that the upgrade from Outlook 2000 IMO will not
install the Outlook Address Book service, resulting in an LDAP error when
opening Outlook. The best method to avoid the pitfalls is to immediately
create a new mail profile in Outlook 2003 - Control Panel->Mail Icon->Show
Profiles->New. Do not copy your old one as it will have missing entries.

Note - if you are upgrading from Outlook Corporate or Workgroup mode, this
should not occur as CW mode includes the OAB.
