Everytime I try to send a message from Outlook 2003, opening Word
automatically, the program adds a ' at the beginning and end of the address.
How do I turn this feature off? I tried to contact Microsoft but the
procedure they require you to go through keeps failing.

It will work just fine with single quotes.

Maybe you should double check your address. Because ever since I rember I've
been using outlook, and ever sice i remember outlook has been putting single
quotes around my addresses and never so far any of my mails have been
returned because of that!! actually these single quotes are not concerned
while the client is interpreting the address. so i suggest you double check
your address.
