Email Attachment Error

When 'Use Microsoft Word to edit email messages' is
checked in the Mail Format properties and I try to attach
a Word doc to an email, I get a 'No such interface is
supported' error. If the box is unchecked, then I have
no problems with attachments. Any ideas?
