Email Receipients get Hieroglyphic fonts in email

I'm using Outlook 2000 and when I send an email to
receipients who are using Netscape or other email
services, the email I send is received in hieroglyphic
fonts. Is this something that I am doing or is their
configurations on the receipients end to fix this?
